How much proof do we need?

He is the most recognizable face when it comes to churches today. He has the biggest congregation of any church in America, is a best-selling author, motivational speaker and seems like a nice guy. But there is one problem. Joel Osteen claims he is a pastor. Why is this a problem? Because a pastor is someone who is to shepherd believers and guide them in the truth. Is this what Joel Osteen does?

Joel Osteen is a false preacher. I pray that he comes to repentance one day and puts his faith in the real Jesus Christ but at this time, he continues to prove time and time again how far he is from the faith. Think about these questions:

1. How can Joel Osteen have the largest congregation and yet be unclear concerning the gospel and what is necessary to have eternal life?

2. When God declares homosexuality to be an "abomination," how can Joel Osteen come alongside the new mayor of Houston and endorse her when she is openly lesbian?

3. If Joel Osteen really knows the truth, then how could he speak so well of Oral Roberts, who is the father of the seed-faith movement in the 20th century and has influenced many of the pastors (Creflo Dollar, TD Jakes, Eddie Long, Fred Price, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Joyce Meyer) who exploit people?

4. How can a person think that just going onto the stage and "telling stories" is an indication that you have been called by God to preach?

5. Is "not God's best" and "sin" interchangeable?

6. What explanation can he give to those who tithe faithfully and yet their financial situation gets worse and NEVER gets better?

7. Did Jesus come to save us from our sins or from a bad social standing?

A true preacher and pastor will proclaim the gospel in its purity. A true preacher and pastor will not endorse someone whose lifestyle is an abomination to God but will pray she will come to repentance. A true preacher and pastor will not endorse false teachers who speak lies. And a true preacher and pastor will preach from the word of God, not their own imaginations. A true preacher and pastor will point out sin for what it is. A true preacher and pastor will give people the truth concerning the tithe. And a true preacher and pastor will clearly point out that Jesus Christ came to save us from our SINS. May Joel Osteen come to repentance.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
